The team was established in 1976 on the initiative of His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal, as a national aerobatic group and a symbol of pride and prestige of the Kingdom of Jordan. Since the very beginning the objective of the team was to promote Jordanian hospitality, culture and aviation excellence through participation in major international aviation events.
Royal Jordanian Falcons are not only ambassadors of their country – they are also one of the most professional and most consistent aerobatic teams in the world. The team is composed of carefully selected pilots from the Jordanian Air Force who undergo intense training to master the complex group and solo sets.
Aircraft – Extra 330LX
The team perform their breath-taking aerobatic stunts on state-of-the-art German machines, Extra 330LX – some of the most advanced aerobatic aircraft in the world. They are single-seater aircraft (or double-seater aircraft in the LX version) with a composite and metal design, equipped with a 315 hp Lycoming AEIO-580 engine. Thanks to its small weight and immense power the aircraft is capable of withstanding load factors of approx. 10 G and achieve extraordinary agility and precision.
In the hands of the Royal Jordanian Falcons, the machines become true aviation art tools, as their displays are characterised by extraordinary synchronisation, effective formations and dynamic manoeuvres which require top level of skills.

Royal Jordanian Falcons have taken part in dozens of international air shows in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, enjoying the acclaim of both the audience and aviation industry experts.
